2024 Spring Mixer

The 2024 Spring Mixer took place on May 18 in Rush Park near campus in the form of a potluck. In total, 34 people were in attendance including 12 current METRIC students, 15 family and friends, and 7 program personnel.

The organized activities included pop-their-balloons, musical-acts, and painting and planting tiny succulent pots. Even the youngest participant (Dr. Chang's 4-year-old son) had a blast with the games and the food. This was a social event to reconnect students with each other, send off the graduates, and welcome the upcoming summer break.

The purposes of the mixer were to:

  1. reconnect students and faculty 
  2. allow METRIC students to further connect with each other and remind them of the importance of community.
  3. introduce new folks to the program.
