2024 Holiday Mixer

Published December 10, 2024

The 2024 Family and Friends Holiday Mixer took place on December 6 at the Anatol Center on campus. More than 45 people attended the event including 17 current METRIC & METRIC 2 scholars, 7 faculty, 2 alumni, and 20 family and friends of program.

The holiday mixer started with a spread of ice breaker table games to get the guests into the holiday spirit. It was followed by a buffet dinner and a semester highlight and recognitions by the METRIC director. The program ended with two holiday games (Relay drawing & Reindeer game with stocking and balloons) and a group photo.

METRIC's Family and Friends Mixer serves many important purposes:

  • Introduce the family, friends, and other faculty to this community of support.
  • Educate the family, friends, and faculty about the purpose of METRIC.
  • Recognize the hardship and accomplishments the scholar experienced throughout the year.
  • Allow METRIC students and mentors to further connect with each other and remind them of the importance of the community.
