Lisa Okada Sparks, Ed.D., M.P.H.
Lisa Okada Sparks is a full-time lecturer and has been teaching in the department since 2003. She teaches HSC 402, 425, 435, and 485. Lisa has also served as an evaluation consultant with many local organizations in Los Angeles and Orange counties and Long Beach since 1999. She has worked as a health educator with local law enforcement, judicial groups, departments of education, school districts, local public health departments, and many other non-governmental agencies and minority-based groups and organizations. Her expertise is in tobacco prevention and cessation, underage drinking prevention, nutrition, and physical activity. Lisa loves what she does and does what she loves!
Lisa received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health degrees from CSU Long Beach and her Ed.D. from Azusa Pacific University.
