Banafshe Sharifian-Attar, M.P.H.
Banafshe Sharifian-Attar currently teaches at CSU Long Beach. Her courses include Personal Health, Human Sexuality, Community Health, Theory in Public Health, and Contemporary Issues in Children’s Health. She also has previous experience teaching Drugs and Society, Program Planning in Community Health, and Multicultural Health at CSU Fullerton, CSU Dominguez Hills and CSU San Bernardino.
Banafshe Sharifian received her Bachelor’s in Sociology from UCLA and a Master’s in Public Health from UCLA, division of Community Health Sciences. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and has close to fifteen years of clinical and teaching experience. Her areas of interest include human sexuality and sexual health in teenagers along with substance use and mental health disorders in vulnerable populations.
