Phil Ramsdale
Phil Ramsdale began his career by working five years at FedEx beginning in 1975 performing operational, management and sales roles. A brief operations stint at UPS was followed by five years at SonicAir, where jobs included operations management and sales management, culminating as Vice President of marketing, pricing programs and ground transport.
Mr. Ramsdale worked two years with Distribution Concepts International consulting as Vice President concentrating on key engagement management. Clients included large Entertainment and Technology companies.
He founded Transport Solutions LLC (TSL) in June 1987 to serve targeted needs of companies using large amounts of outside purchase transportation. TSL specializes in helping companies optimize their usage of freight services. TSL supports client decision making and management with independent unbiased analysis. TSL has developed methods, processes and proprietary software that provide leverage to achieve measurable results.
Mr. Ramsdale holds a bachelor’s degree in history and Honors Program Certificate from California State University at Long Beach.
Mr. Ramsdale is a past President and of the Southern California Roundtable for CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) and served as Chairman of CSULB’s College of Business Supply Chain Management Advisory Board. He is Board Member for ChildNet Youth and Family Services. He served as a Commissioner for Long Beach Airport. Mr. Ramsdale teaches Intro to Logistics and Intermediate Logistics for Long Beach City College. He has taught a class and sessions for CSULB’s CITT.
