Frank Thompson
Frank Thompson is a highly accomplished senior executive with more than 35 years of success within commercial and military aerospace. He has proven his ability to influence and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to meet organizational goals and support growth. His areas of expertise include procurement, logistics, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, change management, continuous improvement, personnel training and development, working capital, and inventory management.
Most recently, Frank has spent the last several years advising and consulting with Clients within the Aerospace market segment on Operations and Supply Chain challenges. Prior to the independent advising, Frank served as Group Vice President of Supply Chain Management with Parker Aerospace / Parker Hannifin. Before Parker Aerospace, Frank served as Material Director of Interstate Electronics Corporation in Anaheim, CA from 1995 to 1998. In this role, he managed the Materiel team, which supported military and commercial product lines.
In addition to his executive career, Frank served as a member of the Executive Committee for the Supplier Management Council of the Aerospace Industries Association, and he is a former President of the Supplier Excellence Alliance. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Long Beach School of Business Operations & Supply Chain Program at California State University.
Frank obtained his MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business & Management in 1989, and he attained his BA in Financial Management from California State University, Long Beach in 1982. He has completed several executive training programs including Taking Charge of Change and Leading Managing Change from Parker Aerospace. He has also completed the Supply Chain Development Program from Pennsylvania State University, the Manufacturing Executive Program from the University of Michigan, Project Management from California State University, as well as GM Worldwide Purchasing from General Motors HQ.
