Martin Brenner is a full time staff member (Technologist and Sound Engineer) and part time faculty member at CSULB. He received his B.A. Degree in Economics from the University of California at San Diego in 1981. Prior to coming to CSULB he was a recording engineer with the Music Department at UCSD.

As a technologist Mr. Brenner serves the College of the Arts and Music Department through consulting, developing, installing, and maintaining multimedia computer enhanced facilities, classrooms, and laboratories.

Mr. Brenner has engineered various freelance recordings, commercials and radio projects as well as a wide variety of sound reinforcement assignments including appearances at the Playboy Jazz Festival. Sound and Media System design projects have included the advanced sound/lighting and video system in the Gerald R. Daniel Recital Hall at CSULB as well as the large outdoor system used for CSULB commencement. In addition to Sound Engineering, Mr. Brenner has instructed the Music 370 class at CSULB for a number of years.

Martin Brenner researches and collects Pilot Balloon Theodolites. A device dating back to the early 1900's and still in use today to measure upper level winds by visually tracking small rubber balloons.
