John Barcellona runs Surf City Marathon
fundraiser for the 25th year

On Sunday, February 1, 2015, Dr. John Barcellona will be running the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach on behalf of the University Wind Quintet Scholarship for the 25th year. These contributions have helped raise funds for The Bob Cole Conservatory’s finest woodwind and horn performers, the University Wind Quintet.

The Univeristy Symphony Orchestra kicks off 2015 with Cycle 4 of their 2014-15 season. This program features: Stravinsky—No Word From Tom from The Rake's Progress with Madison Hatten, soprano, winner of the 2014-15 Vocal Concerto Competition; Tchaikovsky—“Rococo” Variations for Cello and Orchestra featuring Hyunji Evonne Yi, winner of the 2014-2015 Cello Concerto Competition; and in celebration of Jean Sibelius' 150th birthday, his Symphony #2 in D major Op. 43.
