He received a B.A. in Theater Arts from Kalamazoo College, and began performing professionally in Chicago, working for acclaimed theaters such as Red Orchid (The Killer), Lookingglass (28 and My Life in Pop), and Steppenwolf (Clockwork Orange) among others. He moved to Los Angeles in 1998 and has (with a little luck and a lot of stubbornness) worked consistently in Film/TV since his arrival. Film work includes roles in Déjà Vu, The Island, Dark Skies, and most recently Home (Franka Potente, Dir.) Favorite television credits include Mad Men (Bud Campbell), Shameless, The Resident, Space Hospital, and Grey’s Anatomy. He continues to do theater with Buzzworks Theater Company, based in Silverlake.
Rich Received his MFA in Acting from CSULB in 2022, concentrating his thesis work on decreasing actor anxiety. He continues to search for mindsets and methods to help performers be able to more freely display their talent. He is incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing faculty and theatrical community!
