Student Affairs Publishes 2023 – 2024 DEIA Report

Student Affairs recently released the annual Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Report for 2023-2024. This report includes significant contributions of individual units and Student Affairs more broadly.

This year, Student Affairs engaged in a number of intentional initiatives to strengthen our commitment to an inclusive community. Highlighted in this report are the implementation of our first division-wide training plan, new initiatives like the Day 1 Textbook Access Program and the groundbreaking of La Playa Hall, and the continued focus on programs and services that are integral to serving our students. In fact, during the 2023-2024 year, Student Affairs hosted over 476 events focused on DEIA with a collective attendance of over 60,500 attendees.

We are proud to have been named one of the 2024 Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all members of our campus community.
