GOSPEL MUSIC WEEK

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is thrilled to announce Gospel Music Week at CSULB.  You are invited to be a member of the Gospel Music Workshop Community Choir being held during the week!  Rehearsals will take place on the CSULB campus from Monday, February 24 to Friday, February 28, 2025, culminating in a spectacular concert on March 1, 2025.  
 
There are no auditions!  Whether you’re a seasoned singer or new to gospel music, this music workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and share your passion for music and community with others. Under the guidance of gospel music virtuoso, Ananias "Markey" Montague, you’ll experience the rich traditions of gospel music while connecting with other members of the CSULB and Long Beach community. The community choir will consist of members of the CSULB choral groups, CSULB students, faculty, and staff and participants from the 23 churches within the Long Beach Ministers Alliance.
