CSULB BFA Illustration students have their work accepted in the Society of Illustrators in New York City
This year two CSULB BFA Illustration Students, Sophie Lin and Nina Walker, had pieces accepted to the highly competitive Society of Illustrators Student Competition! Founded in 1901, the Society of Illustrators in New York is the oldest nonprofit organization dedicated to the art of illustration in America. Every year they hold a Student Competition and Exhibition in their museum in Manhattan, and this year they received 6,342 illustration submissions and accepted only 267 pieces. Notable Society members have been N.C. Wyeth, Rube Goldberg, and Norman Rockwell, among many other artists and illustrators.
