Becoming a Faculty Sponsor with OURS

The Office of Undergraduate Research Services (OURS) operates two research programs, the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) and OURS Connects. Both programs aim to provide opportunities for undergraduate students to work with faculty members across all disciplines. 

UROP: A undergraduate research program aimed towards first and second-year students as well as first-year transfers on a case-by-case basis. Funding is available to support your work with students (up to $500 per student, $1500 maximum). To apply to be a UROP Faculty Sponsor, complete the UROP Faculty Application.

OURS Connects: OURS Connects is an undergraduate research experience open to CSULB students of all colleges and disciplines. Student research assistants volunteer their time to work alongside faculty sponsors across all disciplines. To apply to be an OURS Connects Faculty Sponsor, please complete the OURS Connects Faculty Application.

Faculty Mentor Directory: The Faculty Mentor Directory provides a campus-wide searchable database of faculty mentors who participate and work with students in various undergraduate research programs on campus. To be added to the directory, please contact AA-OURS@csulb.edu.
