Seniors : HDEV Award Reception
Each year, the Department of Human Development recognizes excellence in our graduating class by designating four departmental honors, awarded by our Human Development faculty. Students may self-nominate or faculty can nominate a deserving student.
Awards include:
- Outstanding Graduate in Human Development: Students chosen for this award are superb scholars who have made substantial contributions to the community and/or university.
- The Alice Hurst “Visionary” Award: Students who receive this award display leadership, compassion, scholarship, determination, and vision.
- Community Engagement Award: This award is bestowed on students who engage in projects that benefit local communities or communities abroad. This award recognizes the substantive efforts of individual students to contribute to society in community action projects.
- Departmental Honors: Students who have a 3.5 GPA or greater in Human Development coursework are eligible to graduate with departmental honors. Students are informed of their selection each March.
This year's award reception will take place on May 16th. More details will be sent out to graduating seniors.
