What: Participate in the Student Job Shadow and Career Exploration Program
This annual spring program offers CSU students the chance to get experience a first-hand look at what Chancellor’s Office professionals in various fields of interest do every day. Our CO hosts play a vital role in providing students valuable insight and experience in their chosen fields of study.

Job Shadow Host Expectations:
• Students commit to a minimum of eight hours, from January through June, 2025.
• This is a job shadow experience, not an internship, and students will not receive internship credit.
• Engagement: Allow students to observe team meetings, group discussions and day-to-day operations.
• Share Your Role: Provide insights about your division, your role and key responsibilities.
• Hands-On Experience: Whenever possible, involve them in a project or invite them to observe meetings, panel discussions or professional development opportunities.
• Career Guidance: Share your career journey, provide professional development advice and consider offering feedback on the student’s resume.
• Q&A: Be open to answering any questions the students may have.
