American Indian Studies instructor sheds light on indigenous boating

Cindi Alvitre is a lecturer in American Indian Studies at Cal State Long Beach and also co-founder of the Ti’at Society, established in the late 1980s to renew Tongva boating traditions. Alvitre spoke with Random Lengths during the annual Moompetam American Indian Festival about indigenous boating.
