12th Grade: Finish Your Senior Year Strong
- Discuss your transition to college with your counselor.
- Take your final English college prep course, such as ERWC, Honors English, AP English, or IB English.
- Take an advanced math course that matches your career interest. If considering a STEM career, take Pre-Calculus or Calculus.
- Take additional dual enrollment courses to also earn college credit.
- Stay focused on earning good grades during your final year of high school.

- Submit your CSU application using Cal State Apply by the colleges’ deadlines.
- Consider applying to the CSU Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) also on the CSU application.
- Request recommendations from teachers and counselors for college and scholarship applications.
- Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline.
- Earn As & Bs in all A-G classes.
- Apply for scholarships.
- Practice Self-Care – the final year of high school can be very exciting, but also very stressful.
- Ask for help – Remember that there will be other helpful people and programs in college.
