Chloe Thomas, a third-year marketing student who is an active member of several organizations cultivating inclusion and Black success at The Beach, is one of six students in the California State University system to be honored as an inaugural recipient of the Black Student Success Scholarship.

There was a time not so long ago when the college experience was seen as a four-year affair with three main directives: Enroll. Learn. Graduate. 

SOAR is a comprehensive program designed to support new students’ transition – both academically and socially – to Cal State Long Beach.

CSULB celebrates its rich, vibrant diversity through its nine annual Cultural Graduation Celebrations held during Commencement season. This year, 1,393 students participated in the cultural ceremonies, according to Student Affairs.
