CINE Sound Stage & CINE Controlled Rooms
The CINE sound stage is available for reservation through the CINE Equipment Center for approved CINE registered productions and faculty in-class workshops only, and only when not in use for classes. The studio may not be used for rehearsals, auditions, casting and other non-approved usage. Please see “Alternate Locations” section for rooms for this use.
The CINE Controlled Rooms, such as CINE-127 and CINE-205, are for students to use for approved CINE registered productions, but is only available when not is use for classes.

Reservation Deadlines
CINE registered production studio request
- Request for On-Campus Film Permit
- 15 business days prior to the reservation date
- Reservation is not final until both forms are completed, approved, and a confirmation email has been received from the E-Center.
Faculty in-class studio request
- One week in advance and does not require an On-Campus Film Permit.
Reservation Procedure
CINE registered production Studio Request
- Speak with E-Center to see if the studio is available for your dates and required use.
- 20 business days prior to the reservation date.
- Fill in your info and the info of the faculty you are completing the assignment for.
- Attach all necessary documents
- After completing and signing the document, it will be sent to the Production staff.
- Once the document is signed by production staff, it will be automatically sent to the E-Center for processing.
- 15 business days prior to the reservation date.
- You are only approved to use the studio once both the completed Studio Reservation and Request for On-Campus film permit forms have been reviewed and you have received an approval email from the E-Center
- Once you receive full approval, you will discuss studio access for your reservation with the E&F coordinator, which includes receiving a temporary access code to the Studio and picking up a door key.
- A checkout form will be issued for reservation of the studio key and must be picked up on the Friday of your shoot between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
- Campus police must be contacted to open any building doors on weekends.
Faculty in-class studio request
- Complete this CINE Sound Stage Reservation Form via DocuSign.
- One week in advance
- You are approved once you receive an approval email from E-Center.
The use of CINE-127 and CINE-205 is for all approved CINE registered productions. The reservation is not final until both the CINE Room Reservation form and the Request for On-Campus Film Permit are signed and completed.
Reservation Deadlines
- Requests that require use of CINE-127 or CINE-205 outside approved in-class time must submit the CINE Room Reservation Form 20 business days in advance.
- CINE Room Reservation Form requires 5 business days for CINE processing
- Request for On-Campus Film Permit requires 15 business days of processing time for the university.
- Creative Non-Fiction students submission deadline for the Request for On-Campus Film Permit is only 5 business days.
- Reservation is not approved until both the CINE Room Reservation and the Request for On-Campus Film Permit are signed and completed.
