RAD Women’s Self-Defense Class
April 8, 10, 15 & 17 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
RAD is a nation-wide safety program hosted by the University Police which empowers women by teaching realistic self-defense techniques through a comprehensive 12-hour course. A high level of fitness is not required to participate, but dynamic physical simulations take place on a voluntary basis. It is necessary to attend all four classes in order to graduate. Cost is $10 for CSULB students, faculty, staff, or alumni. $20 for non-affiliates. To register visit the University Police: R.A.D. Womens's Self Defense webpage.

Final Phase of Campus Wide Heating Infrastructure Construction
The Campus Wide Heating Infrastructure contractor will be performing the final phase of construction activities around the Central Quad, West Campus Drop Off, Parking Lot E10, Parking Lot E9, Parking Lot E8 and other various areas along West Campus Drive over the next 6 weeks. Planned completion date is April 1st, 2019.
This project is replacing the aging hot water piping system on campus, eliminating breaks and providing more reliable and efficient heating and hot water to our buildings for the future. Work will be sequenced to minimize the impact to the campus community (see map). Pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be slightly affected in the noted areas. Signage will be posted to direct pedestrian traffic and alternate accessible routes will be available.

Insurance and Risk Management Workshop - March 19, 2019
Risk Management will be offering a 90 minute workshop entitled “Insurance and Risk Management 101” on Tuesday, March 19 at 10:00am in Barrett Athletic Administration Center (BAAC) room 222. The workshop provides an overview of Cal State Long Beach insurance requirements, risk identification and assessment. Seating is limited and the next training workshop will be offered in August 2019.
