Computer Labs

The Design Department has two computer labs dedicated to developing the most advanced computer graphics.

Visualization applications include:

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Alias Auto Studio
  • Alias Sketchbook Pro
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • Sketchup
  • SolidWorks
  • 3D Studio Max

The Design program is a graphics intensive program, therefore we recommend computers with as much RAM as possible and latest Processors and Graphics cards. Generally PCs are recommended over Macs due to specific software availability of Studio Max and SolidWorks on the Windows OS only. Additional specifications may be obtained from individual instructors of these classes.

The university also provides the Spidell Technology Center and the Horn Center. Visit the respective computer labs for more information on the resources and hours.

The Design Buildings, including all shops, studios, computer labs, restrooms, and classrooms (including those in HSD), will be closed daily from 1 am - 5 am for cleaning and maintenance of the facilities. All students must vacate the building during these hours. No exceptions. Any persons found in the building during these hours will be reported to campus police and to the Design Department and will be subject to a penalty and/or loss of access to design facilities and services.
