DSA Board Election Sign-Ups
Hey designers!
This is Bri, the DSA President! The semester is almost over, and DSA is looking for students to lead the club for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year!
Want to get involved and get to make awesome events like our Aquarium of the Pacific field trip or Halloween social, and get to connect with our alumni and faculty? In DSA, we're always looking for fresh ideas, so we highly encourage anyone to apply! Joining the DSA board is a great opportunity to utilize your creative skills and make an impact here in our design community, and your experience as a board member can look great on your resume as well.
All design students are eligible to run, and there are 9 available positions on the DSA board to choose from.

Aquarium of the Pacific Form Study Workshop on Friday, Nov. 11
Hosted by Industrial Design professor Max Beach, get a chance to practice design thinking and solidify your understanding of design principles by drawing from sea life! Plus, meet and make friends with some of your design peers! More details for event in Google Form (link below)

DSA Logo Competition Ends On Friday, Nov. 18
Goal: Students design a new DSA logo. Open to all design students, students can work in teams of up to 4 people or individually. More details for competition guidelines on attached flyer!
Deadline: November 18, 2022 @ 11:59 p.m.
All submissions must be in a high-res PNG format and must be emailed to Csulongbeach.dsa@gmail.com.
DSA Halloween Social 10/27/2022
Join the Design Ambassadors and DSA for a Halloween Social on October 27th starting at 4PM outside the Design Department on the Grassy Area. There will be Pumpkin activities and Cookie Decorating.

The Design Student Association (DSA) invites you to join our virtual speaker series.
This event is a three-part speaker series discussing topics of diversity and intersectionality with a 30 minute presentation from a designer in the industry followed by a moderated 30-60 minute question & answer with the speaker, faculty, and industry professionals.
The purpose of the event is to amplify the importance of diversity, to encourage conversations and internal dialogue about social responsibility within the design industry, and to help understand our personal lens and bias.
