Scientist Studies Stingray Behavior

Ben Pearlman, Ph.D., a lecturer at Cal State Long Beach, explained to Hakai Magazine how understanding stingray behavior will help keep beach goers safe in the surf. Pearlman's research supports doing the "stingray shuffle" or taking tiny steps to warn the animal of a human's approach.
