San Diego is Hot Spot for Juvenile Great White Sharks

Professor Chris Lowe, director of the Cal State Long Beach Shark Lab, spoke with USA Today about the number of great white shark sightings off San Diego. Professor Lowe said 27 tagged white sharks have remained in the area off Torrey Pines although there could be as many as 40, including those not tagged.
