Professor in Earth Sciences Explains Conditions for Landslides

Nate Onderdunk, professor of geology in the Department of Earth Science, was interviewed by KNX news radio about what causes hillsides to slide during a rain storm. Professor Onderdunk said are essentially three things to consider including steepness of slope, type of rock beneath the surface, and the amount of water.
