Professor Comments on whether Earth has Entered a New Epoch

Stan Finney, secretary general of the International Union of Geological Sciences and a professor in the department of earth science at Cal State Long Beach, spoke with CNN about whether the Earth has entered a new epoch shaped by humans called the Anthropocene. Professor Finney said that while humans have had a major impact on Earth, researchers may find the Anthropocene doesn’t rise to the level of an epoch.
