Graduate Students Tag a White Shark

Cal State Long Beach graduate students Patrick Rex and Emily Spurgeon took along a reporter for The Inertia to watch them tag a juvenile white shark off the coast of San Diego. The story illustrates some of the challenges faced by the researchers as they attempt to place a tracking tag on a juvenile white shark and determine its sex by video.
