Geology professor investigates fossils hidden under high school

Rick Behl, professor of geology in the Department of Earth Science at Cal State Long Beach, spoke to the Los Angeles Times as part of a scientific team investigating an underground trove of marine fossils beneath a San Pedro high school. Behl said the group was like a team of detectives, using the fossils to find clues of what the environment was like at the time the animals were alive.
