Civil engineer discusses possible changes in infrastructure to support firefighters

Laurie Huning, an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management at Cal State Long Beach, spoke with the Long Beach Press-Telegram about the infrastructure surrounding fire hydrants during wildfire activity. Huning said municipalities may need to rethink water and power distribution in the age of climate change.
