Assistant professor explains cultural importance of Dia de los Muertos

Felicia Montes, an assistant professor in the Department of Chicano and Latino Studies at Cal State Long Beach, spoke with Spectrum News1 about the history and cultural importance of celebrating the Day of the Dead. Montes said Los Angeles was one of the first places in the United States where Day of the Dead was celebrated.
