Faculty in Economics and Business Explain Issues With Crypto Currency

Professor of Economics, Lisa Grobar, and Associate Professor in Finance, Laura Gonzalez Alana, spoke with the online magazine Cryptosaurus about risks to bank depositors amid the failure of recent banks and cryptocurrency platforms. Dr. Grobar noted shareholders, not depositors, lost money in the banking failures while Dr. Alana added that it would be beneficial to have a federally backed cryptocurrency to stabilize the markets.
