MAPS Peer Mentors take a life coaching approach to mentoring primarily serve Beach Academy, First-Time First Year (Freshman), and Second Year (Sophomore) students.  

Often times, what happens outside of the classroom has the largest impact on what happens inside the classroom.  In this way, we focus on those skills that build confidence and self-efficacy in, not just being a good student at The Beach, but a good member of society.  We coordinate with other Academic Support resources on campus like The Learning Center and the University Writing Center to ensure holistic approach to supporting students.

MAPS Peer Mentors are available to any CSULB student looking for support!
