Green Filmmaking
Green Filmmaking
Be a part of the solution and commit to reducing your carbon footprint when making your film! You’ll learn a lot about the growing field of sustainability in film and you could earn a CSULB green seal for your film!
Use the PEACHy green checklist and see if you can outscore your friends! A score of 50 or higher earns an EMA Green Seal for Students on your production! It's not that hard to do and you'll become eligible for all kinds of other awards, publicity, festivals, and bragging rights. Now is the time to get on it!
Just follow these steps:
- Talk to your production instructor to get started.
- Designate a Sustainability Coordinator (can be an existing member of the crew or cast, or a dedicated sustainability person).
- Download the PEACHy green filmmaking checklist from the Green Filmmaking folder.
- Review the checklist with Green Film School Alliance representative Prof. Kent Hayward (or approved instructor) during pre-production and again after wrap.
