Internships open many doors for student job placements and other career opportunities. The COTA Internship Scholarship creates the opportunity for current COTA students to pursue unpaid internships in their field of study. The scholarship is designed to cover a student’s costs during the period of the internship. Those costs may include travel and housing if the internship is not based locally. Scholarship amounts will vary depending on the geographical location of the internship and the travel expenses budget students submit.
Scholarship Requirements

- Minimum GPA of 2.5;
- Must be enrolled in a CSULB internship course at time of application;
- Must be accepted/hired to an external unpaid internship at time of application;
- Upon scholarship’s acceptance: Submit a ‘thank you’ letter to the donor.
*Please note that should you be awarded, these funds will be coordinated with other financial aid and scholarships you are receiving. It may be helpful to meet with a Financial Aid counselor to better understand your aid package and what may occur if you receive additional funding.
