March 17, 2026: CSULB Reminder: Commencement Tassel RSVP Portal is open: confirm your attendance, record your name pronunciation, claim your tickets, and more! RSVP is open until April 21.

Subject: Tassel RSVP & Ticket Portal Now Open – RSVP for Commencement & Senior Send-Off!

Dear Graduates,
Your Tassel RSVP & Ticket portal tile is now live in your CSULB SSO! Use the Tassel chiclet/tile to RSVP for your ceremony, record your name pronunciation, and claim your FREE 10 guest tickets.
Before accessing Tassel, please review the RSVP & Tickets tutorial: Link to tutorial.
Key Dates
- March 17: Tassel opens through your CSULB SSO.
- March 27: Deadline to apply for Senior Send-Off (April 17) — a formal dinner hosted by CSULB Alumni and the Commencement Team featuring networking and professional development.
- April 17: Pledge to be a Green Gradfor a chance to win a free graduation photoshoot.
- April 17: Senior Send-Offat the Anna W. Ngai Alumni Center.
- April 21 (11:59 p.m.): Tassel closes. Please complete your RSVP early to avoid system congestion. Deadlines cannot be extended due to outages or technical issues.
- May 17–21: Commencement ceremonies take place. Livestreams will be available on the Commencement website.
GradPass Pickup:
Pick up your GradPass (student ceremony ticket) at Grad Check-in (location TBD) 60–90 minutes before your ceremony. You must have this card to cross the stage.

Subject: Reminder: Tassel Ticket Portal Opens March 17 – Claim Your Free Commencement Tickets

Dear Graduate,
You’re almost at the finish line! This is a friendly reminder that once you have Applied to Graduate, paid your fees, and RSVP’d in Tassel, you are eligible to claim your FREE commencement e-tickets.
🗓️ The Tassel ticketing portal opens March17 to RSVP to your ceremony THEN claim your 10 tickets.
🎟️ Tassel Ticketing — Next Steps for Graduates
1. Log in to Tassel
Access Tassel using your CSULB SSO beginning March 17.
2. Claim Your Tickets
You may claim up to 10 tickets, the maximum allowed by the university.
3. Send Tickets
After claiming your tickets, email them directly to your guests—or send them to yourself for easy distribution.
Please note: Tickets display your name for tracking purposes only and do not affect guest entry.
4. Manage Your Tickets Anytime
You may access and manage your tickets in Tassel up until the day of the ceremony.
🎟️ Tickets are free and may not be resold.
🎉 For Guests
- 📩 Tickets are sent directly from the graduate via email.
- 📱 Guests are encouraged to save tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for quick access.
- 🔍 At the venue, guests should present the QR code (on their phone or a printed copy) for entry.
- Once they've been scanned, they cannot be re-scanned/re-used! No venue re-entry.
👉 Mark your calendar for March17 and RSVP for your ceremony, check your name pronunciation (& record if necessary) then claim your tickets!

Commencement is officially scheduled — and your ceremony details are now available.
We’re excited to celebrate the Class of 2026 at George Allen Field.
👉 Visit the Commencement website to:
- Confirm your specific college ceremony details
- Track required steps
- Stay up to date as details are added
⚠️ Important for Your Name & Recognition
If you completed Apply to Graduate by March 1:
- Your name will appear in your college's Graduate Recognition Program
- Your name, degree, and major will be displayed on the jumbo LED screens as you cross the stage
📅 Key Dates To Put On Your Calendar
March 1
- Last day to Apply to Graduate without a late fee
- Deadline for inclusion in the Graduate Recognition Program
March 9-12, 10am-7pm
- Grad Fair — everything you need for Commencement at the University Bookstore
March 16
- Senior Send-Off application opens
March 17
- Tassel opens (RSVP, name pronunciation, guest tickets: 10 per grad) through the MYCSULB SSO
- Available only to grads who have APPLIED TO GRADUATE and paid the fee.
April 17
- Senior Send-Off at the Anna W. Ngai Alumni Center for grads who applied and were accepted.
April 21
- Last day to record your name pronunciation in Tassel
May 17–21
- Commencement ceremonies
- Pick up your Tassel GradPass up to 90 minutes before your ceremony at grad check-in location TBD. Review commencement website for updates.
🎟 What Is Tassel?
Tassel is required for Commencement. It allows you to:
- RSVP to your ceremony(ies)
- Review your stage jumbo LED display information (college, major, degree, name)
- Record your name pronunciation
- Receive your 10 guest tickets - 10 per grad.
- Trigger your name announcement + grad info as you cross stage
- Send your guests an email about your ceremony (Friends & Family Commencement Information)
- Send out digital graduation announcement. Physical grad announcements are through the Bookstore.
