Welcome to the Research on Instruction of Italian as a Second Language (RITA) blog, hosted by the Clorinda Donato Center for Global Romance Languages and Translation Studies at California State University, Long Beach. The formation of RITA and the launching of this blog represent in tangible ways an already multi-year, ongoing collaboration between this university and members of the Gruppo di Ricerca e Azione sull’Apprendimento delle Lingue (GRAAL) (Group for Research and Action in Language Learning) in Italy. Language learning didactics is one of the most rapidly evolving fields in the academy today, with new knowledge being developed and applied throughout the world at educational institutions of every kind and at every level. La formazione di RITA e il lancio di questo blog rappresentano in modo tangibile una collaborazione già pluriennale, in corso tra questa università e membri del Gruppo di Ricerca e Azione sull’Apprendimento delle Lingue (GRAAL) in Italia.
