Beach Shops financial documents are presented in accordance with the guidelines established for auxiliary organizations by the Office of the Chancellor of the California State University System. All financial disclosures follow strict federal and state financial oversight including the California Non-Profit Integrity Act 2004. 

Financial Statements

The financial statements are prepared by an independent auditor and show the financial position of Beach Shops and its operations according to generally accepted accounting principles.

Form 990 Income Tax Returns

Form 990 is an annual tax return that certain federally tax-exempt organizations must file with the Internal Revenue Service. It provides information on Beach Shops' mission, programs, and finances.

Articles of Incorporation

The Articles of Incorporation is the corporation charter of Beach Shops and defines the organization's basic purpose, incorporators, and the characteristics that define Beach Shops as a not-for-profit corporation.

Bylaws

The Bylaws are ruling documents of Beach Shops that define the role of the Board of Directors and how they conduct business.

Operating Agreement

This Operating Agreement document is made and entered into by and between the Trustees of the California State University by their duly qualified Chancellor (CSU) and Forty-Niner Shops, Inc. dba Beach Shops (Auxiliary) serving California State University Long Beach.

Tax Determination Letter

The Tax Determination Letter is issued by the Internal Revenue Service to validate the not-for-profit status of Beach Shops.
