Commencement Parking Updates for Staff and Faculty

Please note these important changes to parking during the four days of Commencement:

  • E2 (formerly Lot 3) will have designated spaces for vendor and Commencement staff, with a limited number of employee spaces. The north ramp of E2 will be restricted to Commencement parking only.
  • E3 and E4 (formerly Lots 10 and 10A respectively) will be reserved for high profile guests, including trustees and media. LifeFit members will also be able to park in E4 “LifeFit/PT@beach” spaces.
  • G12 (formerly Lot 12) will be designated for guests with accessible parking (DP placards and plates), with a limited number of spaces available for employees.
  • G5 (formerly Lot 15) will have a limited number of spaces for graduating DSS students.
  • E1 (formerly Lot 17) will be open for employee parking but Commencement guests may park there as well.

Parking Lot G4 Closed for Construction May 14, 2018

Parking Lot G4 (formerly Lot 16) will close for repair and renovation starting May 14, 2018 and will reopen prior to Fall Move-In Day on August 17, 2018. Parking Lot G4 is located adjacent to the Hillside Residence Halls and the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden. This renovation will not only include necessary replacement of the asphalt parking surface, but also accessibility upgrades, sustainability improvements and energy efficiency upgrades. In order to perform the upgrades, sidewalks surrounding the parking lot will also be closed as part of the project. We will have accessible detour signage installed prior to the scheduled closures.

Monday, May 14 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., power to Lots E1 (formerly 17) and G3 (formerly 18) will be off and one lane of the entrance to Lot E1 will be closed in support of this project.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this project, please feel free to contact Physical Planning and Facilities Management Customer Services at PPFM-CustomerService@csulb.edu or (562) 985- HELP.
