Student Sustainability Project Showcase

Come on out for CSULB’s biggest and longest-running annual sustainability event on Thursday, April 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden! This free celebration brings the campus and Long Beach community together for a fun evening of mingling, live music, free food, and a showcase of sustainability-related student projects from a wide variety of disciplines. Active Shooter Response Training – New Dates Added
The CSU Office of the Chancellor and the University Police Department would like to invite members of the campus community to attend an active shooter response training on either of the following dates:
Friday, April 20, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Barrett Athletic Administration Center
Wednesday, April 25, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Barrett Athletic Administration Center
While our police department is engaged in routine training to ensure that we are fully prepared should an incident occur on our campus, your awareness of what actions to take may be instrumental to your own safety and the safety of those around you. State of the Environment Conference – Friday, April 20, 2018
Join CSULB’s Student Sustainability Coalition (SSC) for this FREE, day-long event that invites CSULB staff, students, and faculty, environmental leaders, policymakers, scientists, and businesses to engage in discussion about the current state of the environment and our role in the future of sustainability. The event will be held on Friday, April 20, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at The Pointe in the Walter Pyramid. RSVP to: SOE2018. Find more information at the State of the Environment Conference.
Summer and Part-Time Job Fair – Friday, April 27
The summer and part-time job fair will be on Friday, April 27 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the USU Ballrooms. It is open to students from all majors seeking seasonal (summer) and part-time (summer or year-round) jobs or paid internships. This will be the last job fair of the academic year. April Skillsoft Spotlight: Team Building
This month, check out the Team Building Curriculum. There are nine 30-minute courses to choose from, including the following:

Interested in a book instead? 9 Powerful Practices of Really Great Teams identifies the attributes of team membership and team leadership that set the stage for accomplishment of group objectives.
A professional development plan can be created in conjunction with your ASM and appropriate administrator, which can be completed electronically through this program. Appropriate administrator approval must be obtained in advance to complete coursework during work hours. Internal Budget Document Now Available
The 2017-18 Internal Budget Document (IBD) is now available. The hard copy version contains detailed General Fund budget allocations and salary data for budgeted positions as well as budget overviews for the College of Continuing and Professional Education, Housing, Student Health Center Facility Fee, Lottery and Parking funds. The online version of the document contains division and department budget information and allocations.
Due to budget constraints and in the interest of sustainability, we no longer distribute a hard copy document. However, several copies are available for checkout at University Library Reserve. The Internal Budget Document is posted on the university’s Budget website under “FY 17-18”.
