Banned Books Week Panel Discussion

Join us for a panel discussion on the ongoing issue of book challenges and bans across the country. The event features award-winning author Elana K. Arnold and CSULB Professor Lindsay Pérez Huber, with moderation by CSULB librarian Cathy Outten.

Don't miss this chance to explore the importance of intellectual freedom, followed by a book sale and signing with Arnold.

The event is 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, in the University Library 3rd Floor Reading Room.

The CSU Center to Close the Opportunity Gap is excited to host its fourth annual conference for PK-12 educators, school professionals, and administrators at CSU Long Beach on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
 
The Educators Summit is FREE of charge and will provide the opportunity for educators to come together, listen to keynote speakers, and engage with fellow practitioners during breakout sessions on specific topics of interest. FREE parking, continental breakfast, and lunch will be included.
 
There will also be a virtual option to attend via Zoom where the keynote speakers and selected breakout sessions will be broadcasted.
