Congratulations! Your student is officially in college and part of "the Beach." Living in campus housing is an exciting and transformative experience for your student, one that we know will be full of learning, growing, long term friendships, and of course fun. Your student will navigate many challenging and moving experiences, therefore, we are committed to forging partnerships with both parents and families to support your students' journey in personal and academic success.

FERPA

As a parent, you may want access to your student's grades, financial records, discipline records, etc. Under FERPA, CSULB is limited in the information that may be shared. The parent has no right to review certain records unless granted permission, in writing, by the student. Parents cannot receive grades, academic transcripts, or a class schedule unless the student shares it or signs a release.
