What fears or anxieties did you have about going to college?
Some fears and anxieties that I had coming into college as a first gen student were that I was not going to be able to do it. In my first semester, I felt like a failure because of how difficult the transition from high school to college was for me. I felt like I was going to fail all my classes and end up dropping out at the end of the fall semester or middle of the spring semester.
Don't put so much pressure on yourself. No one is perfect and it's okay to make mistakes. You going to fail at times whether it's a test, a lab, or a class but all that matters is how you learn and grow from that mistake. Just because you fail it does not make you a failure, things will get easier as you grow stronger, resilience and determination are key. Soon the bigger picture will show itself and you'll be able to find your way again, just trust the process.
My career interest involves finishing my bachelor's degree here at CSULB and moving on to med school. I will pursue my passion for medicine and become an OB/GYN, a women's health doctor and hopefully start my own practice.
Some of my hobbies include taking my dog on walks, spending time with family and boyfriend, reading, going out often with friends, and trying new skincare and makeup products.

As of right now, I am not involved in clubs but I expect to be a part of the flying sams this semester.
