What fears or anxieties did you have about going to college?

My biggest fear was fitting in, with how cliche that sounds. Everyone at some point goes through having imposter syndrome, including me during my years of community college, and my first year at CSULB. I was also terrified of making mistakes in front of others, fearing that people might think I don't know what I was doing.

The first thing you can do to get comfortable is to get to know your professors. A majority of them want you to succeed, and getting to know them makes it easier to reach out to them if you're having difficulty with things coming from personal experience. I took a professor for 3 semesters straight because i was super cool with them, and they were just overall great. In addition to that, make friends. Just making one can go a long way. I've so far only made one true friend, and they have been so helpful, whether it's academic or personal.

My end goal is to get elected to the House of Representatives for my respective district. Before that, I want to get a job in government working for the mayor of LA, or the governor of the state to get some experience. Then after that, getting a position in the LA City Council.

My main hobby is playing video games. OW2, Minecraft, Fortnite, Smash Bros, Need For Speed, to name a few. I also really enjoy watching the NFL, and in addition to watching it, I casually play football and soccer albeit I haven't since high school graduation. I also read books, mainly non fiction historical, but the Hunger Games is my one exception.

So far, I don't have much on my belt. I was initially pretty involved in PSSA (Political Science Student Association), where we talked about current events and debated, but I haven't gone to one of their meetings in a year genuinely.
