Alaine Ocampo

Dr. Alaine Ocampo, is an Associate Professor in the College of Health and Human Services where she teaches in the Speech-Language Pathology Program. Before joining the faculty, she practiced for seventeen years in a variety of school-based and clinical settings. Her areas of teaching and research interests include school-age language disorders, intersectionality, neurodiversity, disability studies, cultural and linguistic diversity, and interprofessional collaboration.

 

Dr. Ocampo takes pride in being an alumna of CSULB and in serving as a mentor for students. She is passionate in continuing her work in the area of equity-minded practices regarding student success and inclusion, particularly for students from historically marginalized communities and identities.

 

Dr. Ocampo takes pride in co-chairing the President’s Equity and Change Commission (PECC) with Dr. Trace Camacho and continues to be honored with working with such an esteemed group of Commissioners, Network Members, and student body in continuing the important work set forth by the action-oriented charge
