Faculty and Graduates Students Celebrate Completion of Public Knowledge Media Training
The fall 2017 Public Knowledge Media Training culminated with a celebration at the Miller House on Nov. 29. Faculty and graduate students from across the colleges attended six Saturday workshops to learn how to better communicate their scholarly work with the press and general public. President Conoley was on hand to present each participant with a certificate of completion and a Long Beach State University lapel pin, as various administrators, students, staff and fellow faculty members cheered.
Participants are currently working on two- to three-minute videos to showcase their research. Public Knowledge is an initiative established by President Conoley to make scholarly work generated by faculty and graduate students accessible and relevant to the public.
