CSULB’s accreditation reaffirmed

Dear Beach Community: I have some great news to share. Following a complex, campus-wide process, Cal State Long Beach’s accreditation has been reaffirmed for 10 years by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission. Dear Beach Family: While Asian Americans and Asian immigrants have encountered hate crimes, threats and bigotry throughout their history in the United States, there is a new wave of violence targeting those communities. Dear Beach Community, I’ve spent the past several days reflecting on the horrific event that threatened our democracy on January 6, 2021. Our campus values make us most supportive of peaceful protest in support of varying points of view, but the mob behavior at our Capitol on January 6 was not a protest; it was a violent insurrection aimed at shredding our Constitution.
