An update on plans for the 2021-2022 academic year
Dear Beach Community:
We have been engaged in intensive planning for the 2021-22 academic year. I'm pleased that this fall we will continue our progress toward "Reuniting The Beach," offering 4,276 course sections with a full or hybrid in-person component (roughly 47% of the total). Our fall class schedule is subject to change in case any adjustments become necessary.
By spring, we anticipate resuming to 100% of our pre-pandemic, in-person campus course offerings.

CSULB’s accreditation reaffirmed
Dear Beach Community:
I have some great news to share. Following a complex, campus-wide process, Cal State Long Beach’s accreditation has been reaffirmed for 10 years by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission.
This all-important reaffirmation is part of a process of maintenance and certification of standards and quality by a nationally recognized, higher education-focused organization.

Speaking out against hate crimes targeting Asian Americans and Asian immigrants
Dear Beach Family:
While Asian Americans and Asian immigrants have encountered hate crimes, threats and bigotry throughout their history in the United States, there is a new wave of violence targeting those communities.
