Virtual Book Talk- Marjorie Feld

Join us for a talk by Professor Marjorie Feld, based on her recent book The Threshold of Dissent. Feld traces the history of American Jewish debates over Israel and Zionism, showing that today's arguments are part of a long-standing conflict dating back to the 19th century. Drawing on extensive archival research, she examines the diverse intellectual currents—ranging from the Reform movement and the Yiddish left to anti-colonialism and Jewish feminism—and explores the perspectives of American Jewish critics of Zionism and Israel from the 1880s to the 1980s.
