Become a Student Career Advocate
Join this series to become a Career Advocate and learn more about supporting student assistants on their career journey.
The Career Development Center (CDC) offers an empowering four-part series to help Faculty and Staff become Career Advocates to support their student’s career goals. If you are in a student-facing role or supervising student assistants, this program would be a great series to further your learning and equip you in supporting the career development of your students.
Participants must attend four workshops:
- Friday, September 27, 2024, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Workshop 1: Becoming a Career Advocate
- Friday, October 25, 2024, 10:00 -11:00 a.m. – Workshop 2: Online Career Tools
- Friday, April 25, 2025, 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. – Workshop 3: Adopting Plan Your Future Models & Recognition Ceremony (In-Person)
- Attend one CDC workshop of your choice in the Fall and Spring
Upon completion of the required assignments, you will earn a digital badge that signifies career advocacy and will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation signed by both Vice President Beth Lesen and CDC Director Erin Booth-Caro.
