I'm grateful for my time at California State University Long Beach. I had the opportunity to engage with professors and mentors in the program and get their perspectives on potential career goals. The quality of instruction was second to none, and the professors were always open to having conversations about the subject matter and larger societal issues. I was already on my career path when I went there, but I had the chance to learn from Dr. William Moore's budgeting and finance class, which really opened my eyes to a lot of things. His unique leadership and teaching style helped shape my perspective and how I've approached my career. I didn't have time to participate in any clubs, organizations, internships, or work study programs while I was there, but the degree I earned helped give me more credence in my subject matter area and helped inform my perspective for the next phase of my career. I'm most grateful for the level of interaction I was able to have with the professors and instructors, and their unfettered opinions and perspectives.
